- 105cm. high, 182cm. long; 3ft. 5 ½in., 6ft.,
later decorated
Condition
Good overall condition. The ears missing from the head. The leather to the saddle is perished. Losses to the painted decoration especially to the hind legs.

Rocking Horses were a feature in the Chatsworth Nuresries, the first recorded was that for the children of the 5th Duke although by 1818 it had been relocated to a garrett in the north east corner of the house (Chatsworth Inventory, 1818, p.10)
