Description

  • wall lights each 47cm. high; 1ft. 6¼in.
in the manner of Daniel Marot, with feathered surmounts and scrolled branches together with a gilt wood and gesso four light ceiling pendant (5)

Condition

A very decorative set with nice proportions and finely carved. One wall light has cracks to the base of its arms. A second wall light also has cracks in the same place. The third has a repaired break to one arm and is missing its scroll terminal and also has a crack to the same arm. The fourth wall light has cracks with some fragmentation to the base of its arms. All of the wall lights would benefit from a clean and have some chips and minor losses throughout. The ceiling pendant is in poor condition. One arm has a break under the nozzle, two of the other arms have repairs in the same place and one arm has a break at its base. Chips and minor losses throughout with some surface and ingrained dirt.
