- originally probably 20cm. high, 23cm. diameter; 8in., 9in.
with moulded rim and of a mottled beige and grey colour, with a label that states Found at Hardwick, 1879
Provenance
This pot was found at Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire in 1879
Condition
This pot is in pieces and shows signs of trauma from excavation. It is likely that it was repaired when recovered but has since broken again as there are signs of 19th century glue. A large section and some smaller sections are plaster approximations of missing pieces.
