Description
- crossed swords mark in underglaze blue
- ceramics
- 65cm. high; 2ft. 1½in.
each painted with vignettes of lovers in landscapes, framed by encrusted flowers, each side applied with a putto, the base applied with a classical maiden holding a basket of flowers, minor damage

The form of this potpourri vase derivives from a design by J.J.Kaendler in about 1760. With the revival of the Rococo-style in the second half of the 19th Century, a large number of 18th Century Meissen models were put into production again.
Condition
one with filled firing crack, the cover with repaired crack to rim, the other with chip to toe of female figure, small crack to pierced cover just bellow the flower finial, each with typical chips to encrusted flowers and leaves
