Condition
Pile ranges from lustrous closely sheared 1/8 of an inch in blue field and borders with medallion, reds, purples, and dark browns generally low to knotheads due to wear and oxidation. Some areas of foldwear in medallion showing foundation with smaller scattered foldwear areas throughout. A 15 by 4 inch old faded reweave in upper right corner. A 1 by 1 inch reweave lower left corner of medallion, a few smaller scattered reweaves and repiled areas. Partially rewoven guard stripes, reselvedged. Ends with losses to guard stripes, now secured with binding stitch.
Very supple handle, lustrous wool, luminous colors, sound fabric and condition.
