Condition

Pile: Pile generally good, very closely sheared to 1/16 of an inch. Approximately 0.5" slit northeast of medallion. Blue field is very slightly, almost invisibly, striated due to abrash. Unusual color change to lower end of rug, in borders, probably due to slight weave change and only visible when viewed from particular angles. Two small (1" and 1.5") repaired slits into borders on each side in the upper third region. Ends: Very minor nick out of lower end, secured. Sides: Mostly original with some later, looser fraying overcasting. Comments: Very dense weave, flexible handle, overall in very good condition. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements. Pease check with the Carpet department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to this restriction or if you need assistance with such enquiries
