In 4s (12 x 9  1/4  in.; 305 x 205 mm, uncut).  Large green initial letter on title by John E. Benson, 17 copperplates (including device on colophon) by Baskin, printed by Michael Kuch, on a variety of European papers, letterpress composed by Hosea Baskin.  Full green morocco by Claudia Cohen, spine and upper cover gilt-lettered, spine and covers gilt-ruled and with geometric morocco onlays in purple and two shades of green.  Quarter black morocco clamshell case, gilt-lettered green morocco label on spine.

Catalogue Note

Copy 8 of 8 numbered copies (of a whole edition of 26), calling for a second suite of plates, an original drawing and a copperplate.  The drawing and extra suite are present in this set, but the copperplate is not.  The extra suite and watercolor drawing are encased in a black buckram portfolio. Each plate in the book and in the extra suite has been signed and numbered by Baskin in pencil.  In addition, the colophon is signed by Baskin in pencil ("Leonard Baskin") and also inscribed by him in pencil, "With the friendliest felicitations of Leonard.  1996."
