Catalogue Note

Milton Moore was convicted of evading payment of $10,992.05 in income taxes (including penalties and interest) in 1935 and sentenced to one year and one day in prison, as well as fine of $12,700. In light of Milton's having been released on parole and having established a schedule for paying his delinquent taxes, President Roosevelt issued this warrant remitting his fine.
