Printed broadside document (16 5/8 x 13 3/8 in.; 425 x 340 mm) signed ("G:o Washington") and countersigned by the Secretary of State ("Timothy Pickering") and a notary public, [Philadelphia], 19 January 1796, being a 3-language ship's passport for the schooner Dolphin of Cushing, Massachusetts, commanded by William Parsons, bound for Jamaica with meat, lard, butter, candles, and building materials, embossed seal of the United States in left margin, notary's seal at bottom margin; browned and stained, seals foxed, edges frayed, several fold separations, rebacked.
