Catalogue Note
Fine copy of the first edition, first impression (September 1909) of Montgomery's first sequel in her popular Anne series. This copy is in a well-preserved example of the scarce dust jacket, and in an unrecorded green cloth binding. Only four copies of Anne of Avonlea have appeared at auction in the last thirty-five years, only one in a dust jacket.
