containing c.120 entries for wines, meat and fish dishes, cakes, biscuits, preserves, soups, sauces, pies and other dishes, including a recipe for veal soup in verse "Sent by Mr Pope to Dean Swift", with a few medicinal recipes such as "The famous American Receipt for the Rheumatism", "An Excellent Syrup for preserving the Lungs", and a recipe for plague water dated 12 July 1721 "Sent by Monsr. P. Daulhat to Coll: John Archer, who afterwards unhappily shot himself"
