Catalogue Note
First edition in Latin of Colmenero de Ledesma's treatise Curioso tratado de la naturaleza y calidad del chocolate, originally published in 1631. This was the first European work devoted to chocolate and cacao. It was subsequently translated into French, Latin, English and Italian. These two works are often found bound together and may well have been issued together.
