"Pour ce [livre], [Léger] conçut têtes de chapitres sur double page et illustrations de façon à faire date dans l'édition moderne. Les illustrations étaient des reproductions de dessins dont les couleurs furent ajoutées au pochoir d'après les indications précises du peintre" (L. Saphire).
