Catalogue Note
C'est en 1960 que fut produit Magritte ou La Leçon de choses, documentaire filmé par Luc de Heusch et scénarisé par Jacques Delcorde qui explorait en une quinzaine de minutes la démarche artistique de Magritte, l'on y entendait notamment une interview de Georgette, l'épouse du peintre.
Le dessin, variante du tableau intitulé La Femme du Maçon, évoque, à travers l'œil cyclopéen de la femme, la caméra utilisée par les cinéastes.
