Premières annonces officielles de la conquête de la Lune.
Éditées seulement dix minutes après l'événement, les deux brochures multigraphiées avaient été tirées à petit nombre pour être distribuées aux journalistes et personnes accréditées auprès de la NASA.
Le tome I est la transcription mot à mot des échanges entre le Houston Control Center et Neil Armstrong, lors de l'alunissage du Module Eagle (12h.59 à 15h.55) :
- Armstrong : « Houston, Tranquillity base here. The Eagle has landed. »
- Control : « Roger, Tranquillity, we copy you on the ground... We're breathing again. Thanks a lot... be advised there's lots of smiling faces in this room, and all over the world... »

Le second tome concerne les premiers pas sur la Lune (20h.34 à 22h.31) :
- Armstrong : I'm at the foot of the ladder,... I'm going to step off the LM now... That's one small step for man, one giant leap for Mankind... There seems to be no difficulty in moving around as we suspected... »

On trouve joints différents documents et photographies en couleurs signées :
- Photographie signée de Neil Armstrong.
- Footprints on the Moon.- New York, The Associated Press, 1969. Grand in-4 (304 x 223 mm) de (2) ff., 216 pp. Percaline bleue de l'éditeur, jaquette et  étui. L'exemplaire porte sur le faux-titre un envoi autographe signé : "To John Wallace, with best wishes, from Apollo 11, Armstrong, Aldrin, Collins"
- Enveloppe et timbre commémoratif de 10 c. : First man on the Moon. First day issue. 20 J. 1969.
- Photo dédicacée de Frank Borman.
- Photo des membres de l'équipage d'Apollo 14, signées de Stuart A. Roosa, Alan B. Shepard, Edgar D. Mitchell, avec envoi à Jean Mussat.
