Condition
Some overall wears and tears to the paper and scratches consistent with age as well as some wears to the brocade mounts (visible on the catalogue illustration) ; from right to left : the first panel : some wears and tears ao the gold paper to the interstice with the second panel ; small woodworms in the middle ; overall light scratches and some losses to the gold ground ; second and third panel : some water stains above the waves at the level of the interstice ; a few black stains above as well as to the bottom of the panel ; some wears and tears at the level of the animal's rear left paw ; a few losses to the gold ground ; fourth panel : a diagonal tear to the paper on the green rock (20cm) below the chichi's head ; some small wear and light scratches to the animal's mane ; 5th and 6th panel : similar light scratches to the surface and a few black stains to the top register ; some woodworms (6cm) between the two panels approx. 10cm from the top of the waves ; the paper on the top section is a bit dry and slightly detaching from the wood board. Some tears and wears to the interstice ; otherwise overall excellent painting and attractive design.
