Description

de forme tulipée, les hauts bords et la lèvre évasés sur un pied droit, le pourtour à décor moulé en très léger relief d'une variété de fleurs et de fruits : pivoines, lychees, camelias, citrons digités, pêches, lotus, grenades, magnolias, la base circulaire émaillée blanc avec marque Qianlong en bleu sous couverte à six caractères en cachet

Condition

This piece is in excellent condition and has only expected burst air bubbles to the rim and light scratches to the surface, including a light 4.3cm scratch to the exterior. Please note that the colour of the bowl is of a slightly deeper tone than illustrated in the catalogue.

Catalogue Note

This piece is impressive for its large proportions and immaculate even glazing that accentuates the elegance of the form and moulded design. A closely related bowl was sold in our New York rooms, 16th September 2009, lot 218; another was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 27th April 1993, lot 86; and a third example, from the Jingguantang Collection and illustrated in The Tsui Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1991, cat. no. 127, was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 3rd November 1996, lot 570.
