Condition

There a small 1.5 x 1 cm surface chip with associated cracks on the blue ground above the peony flower, a vertical crack in the ivory to the right of the flower (showing on the illustration). A small section of the blue ground has chipped off between the peony and the leaf to its right with interstice gaps showing between the contour of the ivory peony and the blue background. The dove is intact but has also probably detached at some stage and been re affixed with interstice gaps now showing between the contour of the body and the blue lacquer ground.
