la panse circulaire sur un court pied évasé, le col en forme de bulbe agrémenté de deux anses, chaque face à décor d'un médaillon central de lotus cerné d'une frise de pétales et d'une bande de rinceaux de fleurs
Condition
This flask is in fair condition with the exception of a C-shape repair to the neck, which appears to have been a clean break (approx. 3.5cm wide by 2.5 deep); an associated 2cm C-shape chip to the rim; further chips to the rim (approx. 3cm across); a 3.5cm section loss to the foot and a further 1.5cm by 1cm chip to the foot; an initial 2cm chip to the foot fired with the original glaze; a 2.7cm by 1.8cm oval superficial firing crack to the base; a 0.5cm hairline firing crack to the edge of the foot; a 0.2cm drilled hole at the top of each handle, one with two 0.5cm associated flakes to the glaze; overall pitting to the glaze, which is particularly concentrated to the raised edges of the neck; tiny overall glazing impurities and light surface scratches.
Please note that the vessel is of a slightly more greyish-blue tone than illustrated in the catalogue.
