le pourtour incisé de rinceaux de lotus et leurs feuillages, recouvert d'une belle glaçure céladon craquelée, une longue inscription dédicatoire près du col, 'ben jing xinren Xu Guangyuan xi she lu ping yifu fengru Guandijun shengqian gongyang, qi bao hejia daxiao ping'an qingji zhe, Shunzhi shi'er nian shiyue ji dan jin ti' (Xu Guangyuan, a believer of this county happily donates a pair of incense burner and vase to the saintly Guandi, in hope that he will protect my whole family to live in peace and fortune, sincerely inscribed on a good day in the tenth lunar month of the 12th year of the Shunzhi reign (1655)) ; socle en bois
Condition
An old 2cm restored chip to the rim ; a 9cm hairline crack secured next to it extendind on 4cm inside ; a few other glaze cracks extending above the rim probably original to the firing ; otherwise generally in good condition ; some original firing crackeling to the glaze as visible on the photography in the catalogue illustration.
