Description

le Bodhisattva aux onze têtes et huit bras, sur une base lotiforme, les mains principales en anjali mudra, une perle de Bouddha dans sa main droite supérieure, divers instruments rituels dans ses mains gauches, dont l'arc, la flèche et le pot à eau, vêtu d'une peau d'antilope en écharpe sur son torse dénudé, une longue jupe maintenue par une ceinture perlée

Condition

The figure is overall in good condition with the exception of a 2,5cm section at the tip-end of the billowing veil around her shoulders which has chipped off and is missing (showing bottom left on the illustration in the catalogue). Some expected wear and light pitting to the gilding, more pronounced on the lacquer gilding of the forearms and the feet, the Buddhist implements in her extending left hand may be a later replacement, the base is sealed.
