Description

La première statuette, divinité de la longévité à huit bras et trois faces, assise en vajrapayankasana sur un piédestal en forme de lotus, portant les ornements de bodhisattva, tenant le visvavajra et le bhumpa dans ses mains principales, la seconde debout  sur une base lotiforme, en appui sur le pied droit en pratyalidha, écrasant des serpents entrelacés, un pagne en peau de tigre, une cape en peau d'éléphant et des ornements dharmapala, une tête de cheval émergeant de sa chevelure hirsute

Condition

Hayagriva is overall in good condition with the exception of a few dents to the tip-end of the red hairs, some wear and oxidization to the gilding. The inlaid hard stones are lost. The base is unsealed. The upper right hand of Ushnishavijaya is missing (showing on the catalogue illustration), some wear, surface pitting and oxidization to the gilding consistent with age, part of the bust and the faces my be re gilt, with some gold re spray to the reverse of the ears. The base is unsealed but the figure is still filled with sutra scrolls.
