Description

en forme d'une grande feuille de lotus escaladée par un crabe et deux escargots de mer, le pourtour orné d'une variété de plantes aquatiques aux tiges nouées, rassemblées à l'extrémité pour former l'anse, deux autres escargots à l'intérieur et une inscription à quatre caractères sur le devant, socle en bois sculpté en forme de tortue

Condition

This cup has a narrow V-shape age crack extending down from the rim of approx. 7.5cm by 0.5cm, the restoration of which partially remains on the lower section; restoration to a possible age crack on the opposite side of the rim (approx. 1.5cm) retouching of the loss of carving to the extremity of a branch on the lower section; losses to a half a flower and bud to the left of the crab on the body; and the loss of a 4cm section and the extremity of a petal of the foot.

The inscription on the horn can read tong qing chi ci meaning  "imperially Bestowed in [Commemoration of] Mutual [Occasion for] Celebration".
