assis en vajrasana sur une base lotiforme, vêtu d'une ample robe retombant en plis onduleux sur la base, l'expression sereine, les yeux mi-clos, la main droite en varada mudra, le geste de la charité, la gauche en vitarka mudra pour l'argumentaire
Condition
Some wear to the gilding and crackling on the lacquer on the face ; a few crackles and chips with loss of lacquer to the chest (the largest 3x2.5cm) ; an age crack opening and extending from his left sleeve (7cm) and then vertically and 12cm towards the bottom edge ; a few other expected age cracks ; a few chips and flakes to the edges of the robe as well as the lacquer on the base (all visible on the catalogue illustration) ; chips and flakes to the lacquer around the head ; the buddha can be detached from his base and the consecration compartment to his back is unsealed.
