la pierre décorée d'une chauve-souris stylisée et d'oiseaux en vol dans des nuages stylisés au revers, dans une boîte en bois gravée d'une inscription à sept caractères dorée Ngàn Thuy Nghièn (rivière d'argent), Canh thin khanh van, la base datée Tu Duc niên tao ("fait sous l'ère de Tu Duc" [1848-1883])
Condition
The wood box has cracks (visible on the photo), with a small 5 mm section chipped off and separated. The cover of the box is also warped as a consequence of humidity changes. The white jade ink-stone is in good condition with the exception of a 5 mm shallow chip inside the rim carved in relief around the upper side of the stone, some natural white inclusions in the stone and surface dirt, a small 1.5 cm hairline to one corner.
