Five pairs of bronze and dark salmon damask curtains, last quarter 20th century

woven with bronze coloured interlocking bands with flowers and foliage, incorportating stylised flowering cypress trees and flying birds, on a dark salmon pink ground, all applied with a shaped swag, applied with complementary bronze and pink fringed braid, each pair is attached to a dark brown wooden pole with sphere ends (10)

Each curtain is lined and inlerlined. Overall in very good condition. Each pair of curtains is attached to a wooden pole, and attached with cords for closing and opening. There is no fringing to the rectangular panels. The drop of each pair varies from being 374cm. high (x2 pairs), 375cm. high (x2 pairs) and 378cm. high (x 1 pair) Each rectangular curtain panel has an extra shaped swag attached at the front, applied with fringing. The height of the side of this section is approximately 109cm., rising to the swag whcih is approximately 97cm., and which when the curtains are closed joins with the matching pair. The width of four of the wooden poles without the spheres on the end is 158cm. wide, and each sphere is approximately 12cm. wide. Of these eight spheres, two are missing. Some need tightening to poles. The width of one of the wooden poles without the spheres, is 213cm. wide, and each sphere (both present) is 12cm. wide.
