the ivory field with polychrome curled leaves and palmettes, within a dark blue border of rosettes, palmettes and feathered leaves

Condition

Uneven 2mm pile, varying to low to knotheads. Section right quadrant, horizontal section from section to edge, where worn down to foundation, which is visible in the photograph as the light area especially in centre and on far edge. Old moth damage in areas. Small areas of repair/repiling, for example to some of foliage in main field. Side cords loose and missing in sections. Old pillar cuts on right side rejoined and repiled. Some spot tinting. Outer guard removed on sides and ends. Fringes at both ends, overlocked. Very pretty colouring in reality.
