Condition
The first watercolour remains in fair condition. The blue pigment within the sky has faded. There is a 2.5 cm tear at the extreme lower right edge of the sheet and there are several creases with the composition, which have resulted in minor areas of pigment loss. Within the sky there are several small foxmark and a small water-stain.
The second watercolour has also suffered from minor fading. Above the wall to the right of the centre of the composition there is a small area of surface dirt. There are also further minor areas of surface discolouration within the hillside above the path. At the extreme lower left hand corner there is a small soft crease. Both sheets have not been laid down.
