the dark blue ground with a dense overall design of leafy vine interlace, flowers and bold palmettes, narrow madder border of kufesque hooks and rosettes,

Condition

Pile approximately 2mm, with areas of wear down to foundation in the main field. Original overcast sides. Fringes at top end, overlocked, with variation in length. Vestiges of fringe left corner of lower end, otherwise lacking. Colours much more lively than in catalogue illustration. Lighter and more attractive.
