Description

  • approximately 242 by 110cm., 7ft 11in., 3ft. 7in.
the dark blue field with four large geometric medallions, alternately soft madder and ivory, all with guls and stylised plants, narrow 'crab' gul border

Condition

Pile generally good. Both ends later repiled sections, including border, with slight colour run from reds in the border (visible in the photograph). Also later flat weave end guard and cotton fringe at both ends. Reovercast sides. Old moth damage down to foundation, in narrow border right side of bottom half of rug. Appearance of slightly fresher colours in reality.
