main inscription in the pediment identifies the narrative subject as a`Portrait of the Famous People of the World', all the portraits are numbered and the inscriptions in the cartouches within the surrounding border, with the matching numbers identify each portrait
Condition
Even 2mm pile overall. Blue wool overcast sides. Overlocked ends in blue wool. Fringe at both ends, shorter fringe along lower edge. Small areas of spotting in the sky. Would benefit from a clean. Otherwise good condition.
