A Kütahya covered bowl, Turkey, 18th century

of deep rounded form supported on a short stepped base, the domed cover with disc pommel, painted in underglaze cobalt blue, turquoise and mustard yellow, moulded with cross-hatched roundels and dots on a feathered leaf ground

A mid-eighteenth century covered bowl of similar form with ringed base and disc pommel is in the Suna & Inan Kiraç Collection and a jug of decorated with similar moulded roundels and dots on a pine needle ground (see Akalin and Bilgi p.64, nos. 43 & 87).
