Description

text: surah al-a'raf (VII), part of verse 172 to verse 187
Arabic manuscripts on paper, each 12 lines to the page written in muhaqqaq script in brown ink, verses separated by gold rosettes, fifth and tenth verses marked by blue and gold roundels enclosing the words khamsa and 'ashr, each leaf with elaborate marginal illuminations decorated in blue and gold 

Condition

Both in fair overall condition, some small areas of repair to the outer margins of each leaf, some staining, nibbles to leaf edges, as viewed.
