Condition

This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. The color of the background is colder, it's light blue and not yellow like in the catalogue illustration. The work has been relined before 1972. Two small retouchings appear to be visible under ultra violet light, one lower left and one in the black central area.

"L'arte astratta mi pare un movimento specialmente sano nella storia dell'arte. Con lui, dopo un lungo allentamento, troviamo una tendenza purificatrice, cominciata con Cezanne e proseguita dal cubismo analitico.
