Catalogue Note

Il presente quadro riprende un soggetto del 1919 rivisto però con una nuova tecnica: l'utilizzo di vernici industriali. Vicino all'abitazione del pittore a Roma si trovava  l'officina di Armando Ricci dove venivano utilizzate tali vernici. La curiosità e le voglia di sperimentazione spinsero Balla ad utilizzare questa nuova tecnica che conferisce alla composizione un particolare effetto lucido.
