- An Egyptian Serpentine Horus Stela, Late Period
- Serpentine (stone)
- Height 2 5/8 in. 5.8 cm.
with rounded top and projecting base, carved in front with the young god Horus standing on two crocodiles beneath a mask of Bes, holding serpents and scorpions, and flanked by two papyrus stems, inscriptions in the field, the reverse engraved with several lines of magical inscription beneath a winged symbol, the edges, bottom, and front of base also inscribed.

Condition
Proper right hand and both thighs of Horus chipped, face wear consistent with ritual use, proper left side of base broken off, underside and apex of rounded top abraded.
