  • A Hellenistic Silver-gilt Roundel with Bust of the God Pan
  • Silver
  • Diameter 2 3/8 in. 6 cm.
possibly an emblem from a dish or a fulcrum, cast in high relief with the young goat-horned deity turned to his right and wearing a chlamys, his grinning face with delineated upper teeth, high arched eyebrows, and furrowed forehead, the hair and ear markings carefully chased.

Losses around edge, remains of a bronze pin in one of fastening holes at left, note losses to gilding.
