  • Two Egyptian Black-Topped Jars, one with Potmarks

  • Heights 13 3/4 and 7 1/2 in. 34.9 and 19.1 cm.
each of flaring form with flattened base, the larger jar incised on one side with two potmarks, probably signifying owners, comprising a bison and a feline-like creature.

Condition

Smaller vessel: one third of rim abraded, minor chips on rim. Larger vessel: 3-inch long vertical hairline crack through rim, small area of flaking to red slip. Both vessels: very minor nicks and scratches overall.
