Catalogue Note
Little is known about the Chanou family. At least three members -Sophie, Julie and Jean-Baptiste- were active at the Sèvres porcelain factory around 1800. The writing style of the signature on the lion looking to its left compares best to Jean-Baptiste's monograms.
