Catalogue Note

Bill Garneau was a prototype toolmaker for General Electric and created a metal arm for Rockwell's easel so that he could adjust any photograph he needed to use as he was painting.  When the artist asked him what he wanted as payment, Garneau asked for a sketch.  Rockwell gave him the present one after dedicating it.
