Silver, Gold, Diamond, Pearl and Enamel Miniature Brooch, Late 19th Century

An enamelled miniature of a landscape at sunrise or sunset, signed at the lower left LMR, leaves highlighted by small rose-cut diamonds, within a frame set with old European-cut and rose-cut diamonds, accented at the top and bottom with small pearls measuring approximately 3.5 mm.

Set with 8 small old European-cut and 70 rose-cut diamonds. Silver is tarnished but overall condition of miniature and mounting is very good. Original estimate in the Estate of Jacqueline Kennedy Onnassis auction was $2,000-3,000, and sold for $60,000 hammer ($68,500 including B.P.)
