18 Karat Gold, Topaz and Diamond Bow Brooch, Oscar Heyman & Brothers, J.E. Caldwell & Co., 1941

The stylized bow set with emerald-cut and fancy-shaped topazes, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, signed J.E.C. & Co., numbered N8151, workshop mark for Oscar Heyman & Brothers.

Please note the colored stones are topazes, not citrines. The original sketch for this brooch has been found in Oscar Heyman's archives and dates from 1941. Set with 21 emerald-cut and fancy-shaped topazes weighing approximately 59.50 carats, and 24 round diamonds. Topazes are a warm honey color, evenly matched. Diamonds are approximately G to I color, VVS to VS clarity. Minor chip to pavilion of one topaz, but not readily apparent. In otherwise very good condition.
