The tortoise comb surmounted by a carved coral segment, studded with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.15 carats, within a frame of pearls measuring approximately 3.0 mm., mounting signed Cartier, Paris, numbered 0000 and 0288, maker's mark, French assay marks, hair comb later added.
Condition
The coral is very nicely carved, cracked through at left of center, but stable in its mounting. Diamonds are of a decorative quality, some of a brown tint. Pearls are silver white color and good luster. In good condition.
