Condition
Colours of the photograph are too red and the colour of the commode and alabaster is much warmer and lighter. The photograph does not convey the elegance and the grandness of the commode which is in overall very good state.
There are minor dents in the bronze which are typical on this Sicilian furniture. Gilding is redder on part of the border, but it's not disturbing.
Some very minor scratches to the veneer on the front.
Minor old restorations (very few cracks and lifts) on both sides.
Alabaster top is very beautiful, quite rare (illustrated on the top of page 60 and mistakenly numbered "lot 65 detail").
