Catalogue Note
La technique du bronze laqué est relativement rare. Si l'on répertorie un certain nombre de pendules et candélabres, on ne connaît que très peu d'appliques réalisées au XVIIIe siècle. Citons cependant la paire vendue chez Sotheby's à Paris le 9 novembre 2010, lot 177. Le catalogue de la vente Gaignat, illustré par Saint-Aubin, montre également une paire de bras à trois lumières dont les figures sont attribuées à la famille de vernisseurs Martin.
