inscriptions
The panels include calls to God to bless the Prophet, Imam 'Ali, the sixth to ninth and eleventh to twelfth imams each with usual and uncommon attributes.
Two panels include titles for a woman without names.
One panel is signed: 'Muhammad Reza wrote it 1110 (1698-9)'
Muhammad Reza is a scribe of Isfahan who wrote the inscriptions in the Chahar Bagh Madrasa, dated 1119 (1707-08).
Muhammad Reza is not to be confused with the earlier Muhammad Reza Imami, whose recorded works include the Shah mosque in Isfahan dated 1040 (1630-31).
