of reddish buff coloured clay with steep flaring sides on a short foot and lacking a true footring, the body covered with a cream engobe and decorated in earth-toned hues with a central palmette surrounded by five further palmettes each enclosed in a roundel made up of its own scrolling stem, the intestices with black dots within reddish brown line borders, the back with diagonal brown strokes below the rim
