Illuminated Arabic manuscript on paper, 21 leaves, 9 lines per page, first and last lines written in gold rayhani script, middle line written in red thuluth script, intervening lines written in small, neat black naskhi script, gold discs between verses, each page with four lateral panels containing illuminated devices within the text area, margins ruled in colours and gold, sura headings marked with illuminated panels, modern red leather binding
