Condition

Good condition overall; wear consistent with age and use within the culture : some losses and age cracks to the mud hat; tiny chip to the mouth, as visible on the catalogue illustration. Aged dark brown patina with residue.

Catalogue Note

nkisi, le corps disparaissant sous une accumulation de charges magiques - reliquaire ventral surdimensionné, fermé par un miroir, bois, tiges, graines... A l'exubérance des attributs s'oppose la délicatesse du visage aux traits finements modelés, les yeux sertis d'éclats de verre. Patine brun foncé, grumeleuse.
