A George III mahogany drum table

the circular top centered by a later gilt-tooled leather surface within rosewood crossbanding, the conforming frieze fitted with four cockbeaded drawers alternating four dummy drawers, the ring-turned stem raised on four molded downswept legs ending in foliate-cast brass-capped casters.  The underside of the top stamped COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / ENGLAND.  Top and bottom associated.

Overall good restored condition; top and bottom associated; the top with a later leather-lined surface with minor surface; some minor patches to the crossbanding; handles replaced; one dummy drawer with replaced cockbeading to upper right corner; one drawer with thin rectangular veneer patches to the frieze on either side of the sides; another dummy drawer with a small replaced section to the bottom right corner of the cockbeading; another drawer with small veneer patch to bottom left corner; another dummy drawer with a replaced section to the left cockbeaded edge; the collar and block support to the underside of the top replaced; one leg with an old repaired break to the top; another leg with two breaks, one at the middle and one at join with the caster, now with a metal brace to the underside; another leg with a spliced end above the caster; the stem with a plug at join with one leg; overall with a glossy finish and with some old marks and scratches.
